I developed my first roll of film in my new workspace this afternoon and it felt really nice. For the first time in well...maybe ever, I have a dedicated work area for film development that isn't my kitchen.

Every so often I love to underexpose black and white film on purpose. There is something fabulous and eerie about a wide open composition underexposed by about two, maybe even three stops.

A little bit of infrared film on a bright and sunny day. I need to use infrared film stock more often. When the results turn out well it is quite satisfying.

Working with film in a dense forest on a bright sunny day is always a bit tough. The tonal values go to the extremes very quickly with bright highlights and deep dark shadows making finding a middle ground a challenge. I think it is worth the effort
