I've been ignoring this blog a little bit lately, but fortunately it is for a very good reason. I've been busy getting a lot of images done, so much so that I'm not sure I'll ever get time to share it all on-line. However, when you think about it, that is perfectly ok.
I think I've gotten in the habit of thinking that sharing work on-line is the be all and end all of presenting my photographs to the public. But really it isn't. Perhaps the internet reaches the most amount of people in the shortest amount of time (not a bad thing mind you) but there are so many other ways to connect with the viewer. More and more I'm beginning to value what it means to share my work in front of real people...i.e. actual human contact. It is pretty amazing. Talking about work face to face, getting feedback, feeling the pressure to do better. I start to miss that when I focus too much of my efforts on the internet where my audience may be large, but is also largely invisible.
